The average surface temperature of the Pacific Ocean in the Northern Hemisphere continued to grow during the year. The reason for that was the El Niño, dubbed Bruce Lee this year because it became one of the strongest over the last 65 years. Forecasters predict the 80% chance of El Niño will continue until the spring of 2016.
According to Australian scientists, in 2015 El Nino activity appeared earlier than usual - in May and not in June, as usual. Meteorologists associate the floods in Paraguay that took place in July this year, with the influence of El Niño.
