Kick scooter became more accessible in Moscow

Along with the bike rental, they will introduce a pilot kick scooters rental system in different parts of Moscow. At the same time, each such automat occupies only about 2 square meters and costs you about 500 rubles a month, if your average trip will last less than an hour.

The initiator of the project was the "Samocat sharing system" startup, which was a Generation S accelerator finalist this year. The service will be provided via a mobile app that communicates directly with the electronics inside each scooter.

According to the creator of the idea, Vasily Bykov, similar systems have recently been launched in New York, Singapore and Switzerland. They spent about $100 thousand on the system prototype, and plan to invest about $ 500,000 to promote the idea in different cities of Russia and the world. The project will be monetized by the development of franchises network. "Samocat sharing system" will be providing its processing services to the network (rental period, the service costs, registration and deposit services, insurance claims etc.).

This system will reduce the burden on urban transport and will help Muscovites to take a long breath, not looking for a place to store a scooter. Also, it can be called one of the complex measures for the sustainable transport system development in Moscow.
