Russian Carbon Fund, turn-key sustainability services provider, has worked out a program aimed at preserving forests by creating the system of effective mutual relations between society, responsible business and state.
Moscow State Forestary University is the Fund`s partner. The group of experts both from the Fund and University calculates the amount of carbon dioxide emissions in the atmoshpere. Then this amount is offset by trees, planted during eco events.
For example, in the framework of this program in 2014, 51900 trees which absorbed 3016 tons of carbon dioxide were planted involving employees and volunteers.
Besides, 650 kinds of trees and bushes were planted in different urban areas.
