The "Hevel" company (a joint venture of the Group of companies "Renova" and JSC "RUSNANO") launched a solar power plant with total capacity of 20 MW (after entering the second stage) in the Buribay village of Khaybullinsky District of Bashkortostan. The station consists of 88,000 solar modules. More than 70% of the SPP equipment was produced in Russia.
Before that, the Kosh-Agach SPP in the Altai Republic was the most powerful in Russia. It was built in 2014 with total capacity of 5MW. Four more SPP are planned to be built in the Altai Republic until 2019 with total funding of more than five billion rubles. Solar energy has also has gaining positions in Crimea, where five plants of the Power Services company generate more than 31.55 MW of electricity per day.
The company "Hevel" plans to launch another 6 SPP in Bashkortostan within several years with a total capacity of 59 MW and investments of more than 6 billion rubles. In addition, the company owns a factory for the production of solar modules in the city of Novocheboksarsk (Chuvash Republic) with a capacity of 97.5 MW per year, as well as their own scientific and technical center. "Hevel" plans to place 500 MW of new solar power into operation in different regions of Russia within the next 3 years.
